Data Scientist (Mid/Senior)

We believe great businesses are developed by great teams, so we always try to hire great people. Now, we’re looking for a ‘Data Scientist (Mid / Senior)’ who will work with our Data Science team to help contribute to the next phase at iLab Ventures.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science
• Advanced academic degree (MS / PhD) typically in a quantitative discipline (Computer Engineering, Data Science etc.) is a plus
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy)
• Exceptional analytical mindset: structured, critical thinking with the ability to balance resource investments against business impact
• Experience in building end-to-end data science projects
• Familiarity with cloud technologies preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Git
• Hands-on application experience of machine learning models, statistical methods and optimization algorithms in real-life problems
• Experience in recommendation systems, click models, graph models and search and ranking algorithms
• Experience in Large Language Models and technologies is a plus (OpenAI, LLama, Langchain etc.)
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, meets deadlines, and simultaneously works on multiple projects
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Your Role

• Working with the data science team to develop and deploy big data and machine learning processing pipelines
• Conduct advanced research, evaluation, and improvement of algorithms
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B testing experiments to validate algorithm improvements and inform future strategies
• Collaborate with product, engineering and commercial teams as needed
• Use data assets to gain insights into current business processes and propose enhancements for core decision making processes
• Feature engineering by using structured/unstructured data
• Proven ability to lead research projects, mentor team members, and drive the adoption of data-driven solutions
• Ability to research and write academic papers
