Scrum Master with prior finance experience (freelance)

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master to join a dynamic project team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in facilitating agile frameworks, specifically Scrum methodology, and will help guide the team towards achieving optimal project results. The Scrum Master will be responsible for coaching the team, ensuring the application of Scrum practices, and protecting the team from internal and external distractions.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: 03/03/2025
• End Date: 31/12/2025 + potential extension
• Location: Brussels, Belgium
• Working style: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Schedule and manage key steps of the Scrum methodology.
• Ensure smooth application of Scrum practices and assist the team in overcoming obstacles.
• Support the Product Owner with the Product Backlog and more
• Track team metrics such as capacity and velocity to support planning and progress.
• Coach the team in helping them to face challenges and promoting self-organization.
• Act as an ambassador for Agile methods within the company.
• Provide reports to superiors on the deployment of Scrum methodology within projects.
• Manage risks and issues as they arise.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Technical knowledge is mandatory, with experience in agile reporting tools (e.g., Rally), automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Strong understanding of software development and project management methodologies.
• Experience with agile techniques such as Kanban is preferred.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with French being a plus.
• Ability to manage complex environments and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong team player with a strategic approach to IT alignment.
