Software Engineer

What is this role about?

You’ll be joining a cross-functional team focused on building the core banking infrastructure for one of Europe’s premier fintechs as it transforms into a fully licensed bank. This is a greenfield development opportunity, meaning you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing a modern, scalable microservices architecture from scratch, without the burden of extensive legacy systems.

Your work will span developing a brand-new banking backend, enhancing our consumer lending platform, and migrating existing systems to a cutting-edge, future-proof architecture. You’ll collaborate with a team of talented engineers, product managers, and architects to shape the technical foundation of a next-generation digital bank.

This role is perfect for engineers who thrive on solving complex challenges, building high-impact systems, and working on one of the most exciting fintech transformations in Europe.

This is a hybrid role that requires the candidate to be located in Estonia. Do note that we're not able to offer relocation or remote work for this position.

Your mission includes working on:

• Distributed systems
• Messaging architecture
• Microservices
• Azure Cloud and Kubernetes
• REST API-s
• Monolith

What would ensure success in this role?

• Someone who excels in problem-solving.
• An engineer who wants to be involved in the entire lifecycle of the product.
• You have prior experience in strongly typed languages such as C#, Java, TypeScript, or similar. Preferably in C#, .NET, .NET Core, Docker, or ASP.NET.
• Experience with FE, preferably with React.
• Excited about working on products (we are a heavy product organization).
• Responsible and willing to take ownership.
• Proactive and forward-looking.
• Excellent in communicating in English, both verbally and written.
• You have previous experience in fintech/loan business systems developments (this will be considered as an advantage).
• You have full-stack experience.
