Senior Software Engineer I (m/w/d) Authentication & Access Control - Zurich, Switzerland
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer I to join our team. This individual will lead moderate to large-scale projects, balancing technical depth with business impact. The role centers on epic implementation, coordinating multiple features and ensuring effective story breakdown through technical leadership. A strong focus on identity and access management solutions, including implementation of authentication flows and multi-account security patterns, is essential for this position.
This is a hybrid position which requires working in the office at least one day per week.

Senior Software Engineer I (m/w/d) Authentication & Access Control - Zurich, Switzerland
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer I to join our team. This individual will lead moderate to large-scale projects, balancing technical depth with business impact. The role centers on epic implementation, coordinating multiple features and ensuring effective story breakdown through technical leadership. A strong focus on identity and access management solutions, including implementation of authentication flows and multi-account security patterns, is essential for this position.

What Will You Do - Responsibilities
Technical Implementation & Development
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical training sessions.
- Own and improve team-wide engineering practices including code reviews and testing standards.
- Work closely with Architects and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.
- Drive technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs.
- Lead implementation of epics containing multiple features, ensuring effective story breakdown.
- Contribute to epic refinement to ensure clear feature story definition.
- Responsible for system performance, security, and reliability of major components.
- Present technical strategies to teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on technical decisions.
- Drive team-wide improvements and mentor junior engineers.
- Guide team members in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality.
Who You Are - Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, with strong industry experience.
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience leading epics with multiple features across team members.
- Experience in component performance optimization.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving improvements.
- Experience with infrastructure and DevOps practices is advantageous.
- Experience supporting architectural decisions is advantageous.
- Experience with multiple programming languages (Golang/C++, Flutter/Dart) is a plus.
- Experience in medical technology domain is a plus.
- Experience with cybersecurity requirements is a plus.
- Advanced coding and system design skills.
- Mentorship and technical leadership abilities.
- Proficient in CI/CD practices and DevOps collaboration.
- Knowledge in identity and access management is a plus, including:
- Implementation of OAuth flows and identity provider integration,
- Multi-factor authentication systems,
- Role-based access control and permission management,
- Multi-account access patterns and secure logout flows.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German language skills is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical device development is advantageous.
