Senior Java IT

Our client is in the process of enlarging their operations in Luxembourg. As such, we are currently seeking a skilled and driven R&D Advisor to join the group and advise on Technology and R&D matters. Your Responsabilities

• Lead and contribute to the research and development of cutting-edge IT solutions, tools, and systems.
• Design, implement, and test new software applications, algorithms, and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to align research initiatives with business goals.
• Conduct feasibility studies, develop prototypes, and work on proof-of-concept projects.
• Continuously assess emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate into R&D projects.
• Ensure all technical solutions meet industry standards and follow best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, as needed.
• Document research findings, code, and technical specifications in a clear and concise manner.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to ensure project success.
  
  

Your Profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree or higher is preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal English and Italian, with Italian being an asset
• Proven track record in R&D positions, particularly within IT and software development
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++ or HTML
• Deep expertise in software design, system architecture, and development processes.
• Relevant certifications in technical fields (Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, etc.]).
• Experience with research and development tools, simulation software, and prototype creation.
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles, databases, and network systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, etc.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
