Contract Frontend Developer

Affinity's client is looking for a Front End Developer to join their DevOps team. This role is all about UI/UX software development within an IoT system. If you enjoy seeing the big picture and want to contribute to a connected platform ecosystem, this role could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with the software development backend team, providing software support to both front end and back end development teams, as well as hardware and operational support teams as required.

· Design and implement new software features, focusing on database-driven applications involving data processing and analysis, and presenting these to stakeholders.

· Offer support and maintenance as necessary.

· Develop and update technical documentation for the IoT software system.

Qualifications

· Over a decade of experience in Front End software development within a data processing environment, specializing in UI/UX.

· At least 5 years of recent experience with React, TypeScript, and NodeJs, as well as other tools such as C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Angular.

· Proficiency in working with APIs and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySql, and Microsoft SQL.

· Experience with cloud environments like AWS and/or GCP.

· Hands-on project experience using tools like Jira, Slack, and GIT repositories such as BitBucket, GitHub, and GitLab.

· Experience collaborating with Front End developers, Back End developers, and quality assurance teams.

· Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodology and CI/CD pipeline.

· University degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

· Full stack development experience with some backend knowledge is a huge advantage

· Industry and product experience within – Telecommunications, real-time and/or Fleet management experience.

Pay Range for this position is between $75-85/hr depending on overall fit and experience
