The Job
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. Reporting to the Data Lead, the Data Analyst will leverage PowerBI and Databricks for data analysis, coupled with a strong foundation in SQL/Python programming. This role requires a keen understanding of financial data (Microsoft Business Central) and CRM (Dynamic365) data.
You will work closely with all departments, especially with finance and procurement. Together with the data team and IT teams, you will ensure that the data within Milence is used to make our business smarter, faster, reliable, and positioned two years ahead of the market.
The job will be based in our Amsterdam and/or Arnhem office, with a hybrid working model that includes 2-3 days in the office.
How does your typical day look like?
As a Data Analyst at Milence, your day begins with a daily standup meeting that includes the entire data team. This meeting is followed by a technical alignment session where engineers and analysts meet separately to discuss their specific tasks and challenges.
Once the meetings are over, you collaborate closely with data engineers to identify data sources and coordinate data ingestion into our data platform. Ensuring that the data is accurately and efficiently brought into the system is a crucial part of your role. After the data is ingested, you work with stakeholders and data source owners to implement business logic into the data. This phase, known as data curation, involves creating data models that are used for analysis.
With the data modeled, you then develop business intelligence tools and dashboards. These tools help visualize the data and provide insights to various departments. Your expertise in building these tools is essential for the success of the team.
Throughout the day, you have weekly check-ins with key stakeholders to ensure that you are aligned with the needs and expectations of different departments. You also participate in sprint planning sessions, as the team follows Scrum Agile methodologies, working in bi-weekly sprints. These sessions help review quarterly deliverables and plan upcoming tasks.
Adaptability is key in your role. You must be prepared to handle new requests and reprioritize tasks as needed. The ability to deliver quickly and adapt to changing priorities is essential. Your role offers high visibility within the company, with opportunities to present findings and insights to senior leadership.
Towards the end of the day, you review the progress made and plan for the next day. This includes updating project management tools like Azure DevOps and preparing for the next day's meetings. Your day is dynamic and collaborative, filled with opportunities to make a significant impact on the company's success.
What we offer:
At Milence, we value diversity and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and nationalities. Compliance with local employment laws and non-discrimination policies is a priority for us.
