Software Engineer

The Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate mission-critical, event-driven cloud systems that support our electric charging platform. Working in a cross-functional team, you’ll deliver scalable back-end services and user-facing applications while driving continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

You’ll be based in our Amsterdam and Arnhem offices, with flexibility to work 2–3 days per week remotely.

Your responsibilities include;

• Build asynchronous, event-driven back-end services using TypeScript/Node.js.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs that integrate with our platform, payment systems, and internal tools.
• Contribute React (or similar) front-end components to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design secure, scalable systems and data models.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized or serverless deployments.
• Work with Azure (preferred) or similar cloud environments to build scalable infrastructure.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  
  
  

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• You bring at least 3+ years of experience developing event-driven cloud applications.
• You have strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, and modern back-end practices.
• You are familiar with React or similar front-end frameworks.
• You have working experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• You bring solid understanding of microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, or serverless architectures.
• You are comfortable with database design, query optimization, and data security principles.
• You have experience with DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code.
• You are fluent in English.
