Vice President Information Technology

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced Vice President of Information Technology based in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the United Arab Emirates.

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Information Technology will play a crucial role in shaping our technology vision and strategy, managing the IT department, and ensuring that our technology initiatives align with the overall business goals. This strategic leader will drive the implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance productivity, security, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure the security and stability of all information systems and data assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and streamline processes.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the organization as appropriate.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on technology investments and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 14 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data management.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with budget management and cost control in an IT environment.
