Security Analyst (Security Operations)

Our client is seeking a skilled Security Analyst (SecOps) for a 3-month fixed-term contract on a full-time basis, ideally suited for someone between jobs. Based in Melbourne's CBD with a hybrid working model, this role will involve maintaining the security of the firm by monitoring security systems, managing events, and enhancing overall security infrastructure. About the Role:

• Monitor SIEM systems to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Work closely with IT and security teams to improve threat detection and response strategies.
• Develop and maintain SIEM dashboards to provide key security insights.
• Assist in creating and managing SOAR playbooks.

About the Candidate:

• Experience working in a SOC.
• Some experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms (CrowdStrike preferred).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, system administration, and security concepts.
