Firmware Engineer

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our client's team in Finland. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing low-level firmware for high-performance audio products, ensuring seamless integration with hardware and software.

You will design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for high-definition audio devices, working with RTOS and bare-metal programming to ensure low-latency, high-performance audio playback. Your role involves integrating and optimizing audio processing algorithms, collaborating with hardware, DSP, and software teams, and troubleshooting firmware using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. Additionally, you will implement and maintain wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth (LE, Classic), Wi-Fi, and USB Audio, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Desired skills and experience:

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded firmware development.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A processors and DSP architectures.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.) or bare-metal programming.
• Knowledge of I2S, SPI, I2C, UART, and other embedded communication protocols.
• Experience in audio processing algorithms (filters, EQs, codecs) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Audio (LE Audio, A2DP, aptX, LC3), USB Audio, or other wireless standards.
