We are seeking a highly motivated Research Analyst to join our Melbourne Delivery team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in conducting in-depth research, analysing market trends, and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with startups across various industries, providing data-driven research, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations to support their growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, patterns, and opportunities for startup businesses.
• Develop regional and global reports with key insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in projects such as market entry analysis, global growth strategies, organizational design, and product-market fit.
• Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to generate insights that influence business strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine internal research processes and improve client deliverables.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the startup and tech ecosystem.

• Market Entry Research – Assess total addressable market (TAM), conduct competitor benchmarking, evaluate pricing strategies, and analyze economic trends.
• Industry & Trend Analysis – Identify disruptive technologies, emerging business models, and investment patterns across global markets.
• Competitive Intelligence – Research key players, assess their growth strategies, and provide actionable recommendations for startups.
• Organizational & Talent Research – Conduct skills benchmarking, remuneration analysis, and workforce trend studies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, or a related field.
• A solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies with exceptional attention to detail
• 2+ years of experience in research, business analysis, or consulting (preferably within startups or fast-paced environments).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex data into meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication skills – ability to present research findings in a clear, structured, and actionable format.
• Experience in data visualization, statistical analysis, and research methodologies.
• Proficiency in market research tools and databases.
• Startup experience is highly valued, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Jira is a plus.
