Our client is a privately held, technology-enabled organisation headquartered in Sydney, a strong international footprint, and an ambitious trajectory. This is a newly created role, a rare opportunity to define what product and technology leadership looks like at a company with real momentum, a founder-led vision, and the scale to make it count.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, you'll take full ownership of the product and technology function end-to-end as a CPTO. You'll lead reports across product, engineering, data, and systems. With high autonomy and direct founder access, you'll assess what exists, define what needs to change, and build the function that takes this business to its next phase of growth.

What You'll Own

• Full assessment of the existing technology stack, identifying technical debt and defining a clear remediation roadmap
• Product vision and roadmap ownership across the core CFD trading platform, proprietary trading, and a new digital asset vertical
• Shifting the business from a model where client retention is driven by customer service to one were product drives stickiness
• Engineering velocity as a measurable metric, with clear delivery cadences, sprint standards, and product health frameworks
• Establishing a structured intake and prioritisation model that protects engineering from ad-hoc pressure across the business
• Building the product and technology foundation for a new crypto vertical, targeting material revenue within two to three years
• Attracting, developing, and retaining high caliber engineers and product managers across a scaling multi-business-unit structure

Who You Are

• A product leader with strong engineering credibility, or an engineering leader with a genuine product lens
• Experienced leading product and engineering teams across multiple squads or business units simultaneously
• Comfortable assessing a complex technology ecosystem with clear eyes and making the right calls on what to fix first
• A strong stakeholder manager who can protect engineering from ad-hoc pressure while keeping the business moving
• Background in fintech, online trading, CFD or forex platforms, digital assets, or other fast-paced high-volume digital environments
• Proven in a scale-up or high-growth company moving through significant revenue inflection
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to define structure where none exists
