Cloud Governance and Security Engineer

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement cloud governance frameworks and security policies
• Monitor and assess cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and compliance risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk evaluations
• Provide guidance on cloud security best practices and compliance standards
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting root cause analysis and remediation
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies
• Drive continual improvement in configuration management and automation
• Coordinate and align requirements with Festo IT in terms of best practices, security and compliance.

Come prepared

We expect you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cloud security, governance, and compliance (ideally with AWS Config and AWS Service Control Policies (SCPs), Azure Policies and Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
• Strong understanding of cloud and application architecture and security controls
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and infrastructure management
• Hands-on mentality, when it comes to scripting and automating
• Self-organized and solution-oriented work in internationally distributed teams and good communication skills
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English. German language skills are valued but not required
• Strong collaboration mindset and commitment to your team

• Attractive salary package: base salary at 2500 – 3500 EUR/month (gross, based on the qualifications and experience), along with an attractive bonus system comprising yearly bonuses and a 13th salary
