POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Backend Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable backend services using Node.js.
Candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a similar position.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for mobile and web applications
Work with MongoDB to store and retrieve structured data efficiently
Optimize backend performance for low-latency and high-concurrency applications
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API Keys)
Ensure data integrity and security through encryption and best security practices
Develop and maintain AWS-based infrastructure (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, etc)
Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in Node.js with experience in frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
Strong knowledge of MongoDB, including indexing, aggregation, and performance tuning
Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and WebSockets
Strong debugging and performance profiling skills in Node.js applications
Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with TypeScript for scalable and maintainable backend code
Knowledge of Redis for caching and performance improvements
Familiarity with GraphQL for modern API development
Exposure to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Background in sports tech or IoT integrations (e.g., Bluetooth-connected golf products)

COLLABORATION & WORKFLOW:

Work closely with mobile and frontend developers to build seamless app experiences
Collaborate with firmware engineers to integrate backend services with IoT devices
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning
Contribute to logging, monitoring, and error-handling improvements for production stability
