Join Possumus as a System Engineer !

We are seeking a skilled professional to enhance our Clients team. The System Engineer is responsible for the Complete Satisfaction of the clients through the design, implementation, and documentation of IT Infrastructure for their environments focused on future growth, maximum functionality, and manageability

The System Engineer Will Specifically

  • Thoroughly research current environment and client needs
  • Work with assigned team members to engineer a full solution.
  • Create formal infrastructure design
  • Present formal design for revisions and approval
  • Develop an implementation plan of action with little to no client downtime

Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • Operating Systems: Experience in administration and configuration of Windows Server and Linux.
  • Networking and Security: Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs), firewalling, and perimeter security.
  • Virtualization and Cloud: Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Storage and Backup: Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Acronis.
  • Automation and Scripting Tools: Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, and Python for task automation.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Management: Experience with tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in ITGlue or similar tools for infrastructure documentation.
  • Project Management: Ability to design, implement, and document infrastructures following methodologies such as ITIL or Agile.
  • Advanced English proficiency

Education

  • Graduated with a Higher Technician degree (preferred)
