Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

A contract opportunity is available for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS and Java-based microservices. This role involves working on cloud-based application migration and optimization while leveraging modern DevOps tools and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration and optimization of cloud-based applications on AWS.
- Develop and maintain Java 21 microservices for cloud-native solutions.
- Work with technologies such as Maven, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Kafka, and ElasticSearch clusters.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical cloud-based systems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud-based development, deployment, and optimization of Java microservices.
- Strong expertise in AWS services (S3, RDS, VPC, EC2, etc.).
- Proficiency in Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools.
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters and AWS EKS.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and high-availability architectures.
- Experience deploying and maintaining mission-critical cloud infrastructure.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken & written).
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
- Bonus skills: gRPC, MS SQL, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.
