Java Backend Developer

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer for a hybrid project based in Lisbon or Porto (2x/week)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services;
• Design, implement and maintain scalable and efficient backend features using Java;
• Write clean and maintainable code;
• Ensure code performance, scalability and reliability respecting the agreed best practices;
• Implement unit, integration and performance testing;
• Design and develop APIs;
• Design and develop (micro)services using Java Spring frameworks;
• Write/maintain efficient queries;
• Migration from database procedures to Java code;
• Work closely with frontend devs, business analysts and testers;
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience;
• Expertise with Java and frameworks (Java 8+, Spring...);
• Experience with Testing (Junit, Testcontainers, Mockito,…) and code quality (SonarQube,…);
• Experience with versions control and agile development (Git, GitLab, Agile/Scrum, …);
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, …);
• API Development (RESTFul APIs, Swagger, …);
• English good level is mandatory (min B2).
