Risk Analyst – Macro Risk

Role Overview

We are seeking a Risk Analyst with a strong technical background to join the Core Technology - Macro Risk team. The role involves developing risk tools, data pipelines, and infrastructure to support the risk management function. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and VBA, along with expertise in building and maintaining risk databases.

This is a full-time, office-based role in Singapore (5 days a week), reporting directly to senior risk stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems that collect and process trade data for macro risk analysis.
• Build and enhance risk databases and data pipelines to streamline risk management operations.
• Work on P&L tools, automation of prototypes, and other data-driven projects to support investment decisions.
• Collaborate with risk managers, traders, and other analysts to create tools that improve risk insights.
• Optimize and organize large datasets, ensuring data accessibility and accuracy for end-users.
• Improve existing risk infrastructure and implement enhancements based on business needs.
• Work within the existing risk database while integrating third-party risk vendor solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a development or risk technology role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and VBA (additional coding skills are a plus).
• Experience building and managing risk databases and working with large datasets.
• Understanding of risk models, risk methodologies, and macro risk management concepts.
• Ability to automate processes and develop scalable solutions for data-driven risk decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with traders, risk managers, and senior stakeholders.
