SAP BTP CAP Developer

SAP BTP CAP Model Developer - English Speaking. 100% Remote Work. Start: 17th March 2025. 9 Month Contract. END-CLIENT!

Our end-client based in Dubai, UAE requires an SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) / CAP (SAP Cloud Application Programming) Developer for a 9 month assignment.

Main Tasks:

• Develop and maintain applications using the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model with Node.js & SAP HANA Cloud.
• Design and implement data models and services using SAP HANA and SQL.
• Build and deploy multi-target applications (MTA) on SAP Cloud Foundry.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of applications within SAP BTP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance business applications.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize CAPM-based applications to ensure seamless operation.
• Integrate third-party systems using integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of debugging and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of security aspects of applications.
• Work with React , SAP UI5 , and Fiori applications to enhance user experience (Good to have).
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

• Several years of hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model development.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript for backend development.
• Proficiency in SAP HANA & SQL for database management and optimization.
• Solid understanding of Multi-Target Applications (MTA) and Cloud Foundry deployment.
• Good understanding of various BTP services
• Familiarity with fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, XML, and SOAP.
• Must have experience with unit testing methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in using tools like Postman for API testing.
• Experience with source code control using GitHub.
• Understanding of cloud/hosting environments, proven through past experience or project work in a cloud unit

Nice to have but not mandatory:

• Experience utilising HANA Modeling techniques for efficient data structuring and performance optimization is a plus
• ABAP Programming is a plus
• Experience in Agile development methodologies (SCRUM) is a plus
• Knowledge of RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming) and Generative AI technologies is a plus
• SAP CPI knowledge is a plus
• Working knowledge of SAP UI5, Fiori, and HTML5 is a plus
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Experience in test-driven development and model-driven development is a plus

Work load:

• Must be available to work standard Dubai, UAE business hours of 09:00 - 18:00
• 8 hours per day
• 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
• 100% remote
