As a hands-on Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure that supports our applications—built with Java, Python, Golang, and other technologies—deployed across AWS and on-premises environments.
In this role, you will:

• Architect and optimize cloud solutions on AWS to support a multi-tenant SaaS environment while considering performance, security, and compliance.


• Design hybrid-cloud strategies to enable efficient communication between on-premises deployments and AWS services.


• Balance cost and performance by selecting the right compute, storage, and networking components while leveraging automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).


• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery by implementing redundancy, backups, and failover mechanisms both across regions and within on-premises environments.


• Define security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, and data encryption, to protect sensitive customer data.


• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment automation while ensuring infrastructure consistency.


• Provide guidance on containerization and Kubernetes-based solutions for microservice applications.


• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging cloud technologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
  Success in this role requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, an understanding of on-premises infrastructure, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to deliver a robust, scalable cloud platform.

• Strong knowledge of AWS and SaaS Architecture, preferably in the field of data analytics or business intelligence


• Experience with modern cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Helm.


• In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices


• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go and Java with nice to have Python.


• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, time-series, and big data analytics is a plus.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Proficiency in English and preferably Dutch
