Data Scientist

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze data to provide actionable insights and support business decisions.
• Design and develop data models, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Write efficient and optimized queries in SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Automate data pipelines and perform data cleaning, wrangling, and validation processes.
• Utilize statistical tools and programming languages (Python, R) to conduct advanced data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Prepare and present clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by following best practices in database management.
• Implement and maintain version control using Git and GitHub.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, SQL, JavaScript.
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, ggplot2, Seaborn.
• Solid knowledge of data analytics and statistical tools: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Excel (Advanced), Crystal Reports.
• Experience in database management systems: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with data processing and automation: Automated data pipelines, Data cleaning, Data wrangling.
• Hands-on experience with development tools: PyCharm, Jupyter Notebook.
• Understanding of software development methodologies: SDLC, Waterfall Methodology.
• Proficient in version control systems: Git, GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Effective collaboration and teamworking capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a bank.
• Proven experience in data analytics, visualization, and database management.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in data analytics or programming languages are a plus
