Manager Enterprise Application

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Lead to manage, design, and support enterprise academic and research systems.

The role involves overseeing application architecture, system integration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management across enterprise platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1. Application Management & Support

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including:
• Design, development, administration, and maintenance
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, database, and server issues

2. Installation, Upgrades & Maintenance

• Lead installation, configuration, and upgrades of:
• Applications, databases, middleware, and servers
• Perform system migrations, refreshes, and patch management
• Ensure smooth deployment of new releases and updates

3. Architecture & System Design

• Define and implement enterprise application architecture strategies
• Design multi-tier environments including:
• Application servers
• Database servers
• Web servers
• Align architecture with The Open Group Architecture Framework principles

4. Integration & SOA

• Design and maintain integration between enterprise systems
• Contribute to and enhance Service-Oriented Architecture
• Ensure seamless interoperability across applications

5. Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor:
• Database Administrators
• Software Engineers
• Act as technical lead for implementation and upgrade projects
• Provide architecture recommendations and best practices

6. Performance & Capacity Management

• Monitor and ensure:
• High availability
• Disaster recovery readiness
• Load balancing and system performance
• Plan for future capacity requirements (database, storage, servers)

7. Testing & Change Management

• Perform system configuration, testing, and validation
• Support change management processes
• Ensure quality and stability during upgrades and releases

8. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
• Maintain DR documentation and procedures
• Ensure fault-tolerant system environments

9. Documentation & Governance

• Maintain technical documentation, system inventories, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with IT standards and governance frameworks
• Document system configurations and operational processes

10. Requirement Gathering & Stakeholder Support

• Capture and analyze end-user requirements
• Map requirements to enterprise architecture standards
• Collaborate with business users and IT teams

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 6–8 years of experience in enterprise application development/support
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
