ML Data Engineer 4

Overview

The Data Engineer 4 is responsible for managing data pipelines packaging code for deployment and developing analytical solutions. This position requires both technical expertise and autonomy to design build and implement data-driven insights within a collaborative environment. The Data Engineer 4 will develop end to end solutions from data extraction through to operational deployment and work with large datasets from diverse sources to enable valuable insights and analytics.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines to clean and transform data so that it is ready for analysis.
• Develop end-to-end solutions from data extraction to operational deployment.
• Work with large datasets from various sources to enable insights and analytics.
• Evaluate the team's models and suggest enhancements as needed promote best practices for modeling and create scalable operational needs.
• Ensure data storage and processing meet security standards and comply with relevant regulations.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for data pipelines architectures and processes.
• Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge.
• Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends.
• Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team.
• Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
  
  
  

What Will Make You Successful

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience with data engineering including working with data warehouses ETL
• Experience in Data and ML Pipelines orchestration (e.g. Metaflow MLFlow AWS Glue …)
• Proficiency in SQL Python and at least one data processing framework (e.g. Spark Flink TensorFlow PyTorch)
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience applying them in real-world use cases.
• Ability to package and deploy code to production environments in the Cloud.
• Experience with AWS usage Terraform Docker
• Experience with Application of genAI for business purposes
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Datadog Grafana Prometheus).
• Excellent collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS Data platform
• Excellent ability to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutions
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion independently
• Able to thrive in a fast paced deadline driven environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to influence motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
• Excellent ability to develop and use engaging informative and compelling presentation methodologies
• Excellent ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to coach mentor and provide feedback to team members in a timely manner
• Ability to provide guidance and support to developing team members
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools

Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $140,000-175,000 and eligible for bonus and benefits
