Radio Access Network Engineer

We currently have an open position as RAN SOLUTIONS LEAD (Nokia Product & System and ALD)

Your Mission

Based on both operator’s strategy and requirements you lead the analysis, development and implementation of new Nokia BTS configuration/design (2G/4G/5G) and ALD (Antenna Line Devices) strategy or manage the existing ones. You are responsible for taking all the appropriate actions from the requirements to the move in production, after validation in Testbed (local Nokia LAB) and in the Pilot area.

As a RAN Solutions Lead, you are responsible to

• Evaluate and make recommendations for the future, considering the technical evolutions on the market;

• Analyze and assess technical solutions and evolution and operational (functional and capacity) requirements, considering cost, time to market;

• Lead medium implementation projects and coordinate (and coach if necessary) a core team for the implementation of new BTS configuration/design (2G/4G/5G) and ALD (Antenna Line Devices) strategy

• Write functional and technical specifications;

• Generate methods & procedures and technical documents regarding new Nokia BTS configuration/design (2G/4G/5G) and ALD (Antenna Line Devices) strategy evaluated and/or tested;

• Provide technical workshops (to be considered as hand off) to Acquisition, Build, Acceptance, In-building deployment team and associated Build Partner’s;

• Provide technical workshops (to be considered as hand off) to Operation & Maintenance, Optimization team and associated Partners;

• Act as a technical interface with operator’s, suppliers, other operators, to gather requirements and technical solutions, challenge operator’s strategy, and provide recommendations;

\Prepare and implement new BTS solutions and technologies (as vRAN and O-RAN)

Your profile

Education:

− Engineering degree in telecommunications;

− Knowledge of Telecommunications (2G 4G & 5G), BTS solution and ALD strategy

Experience:

− Minimum experience: 5 years in Telecom with Nokia RAN vendor

− Experienced in Finance (budgeting, Business case, reporting,..)

− Project management experience is an advantage

- Bilingual FR/EN or DU/EN or EN only.
