Back End Developer - PHP

I am currently working with an Irish based tech team that have offices in Cork. The role requires Hybrid working in Cork with flexibility on how many days per-week you are in the office. The role is for an experienced back end developer who has worked with PHP and its frameworks for 3+ years. Any experience with Laravel, Symfony, or other PHP frameworks is beneficial. It is a back end role but any previous experience with front end technologies like React, or Angular, are also a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve PHP-based web applications
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders
• Write efficient, secure, and scalable PHP code
• Optimize database queries and ensure high performance
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues
• Keep up with the latest PHP technologies and best practices

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in PHP development
• Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter)
• Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Understanding of version control systems (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
