UI UX Designer

• 12 month contract, extended up to 3 years
• Daily rate: €525
• Hybrid – 2x a week on client site in Dublin

Job Spec

• Model workflows and plan tasks for UX design projects.
• Utilize the gov.ie design system and UX framework, proposing enhancements as necessary.
• Design and deliver wireframes, mock-ups, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for web and mobile applications.
• Provide leadership and guidance to development teams in the application of UX design principles.
• Collaborate with the Customer Communications Toolkit for the Public Sector to develop site content, style, and layout.
• Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency and alignment with design principles.

Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets

• The CV for the proposed resource must comprehensively demonstrate experience with the following:
• Design Governance and the maintenance of Design Guidelines and Principles.
• Expertise in balancing business needs with innovation and superior digital design.
• Experience in user research, including sketching, prototyping, and user testing for digital products.
• Proven ability to implement customer-focused design, including:
• Customer-centered design
• Interaction design
• Visual design for internal and external-facing web and mobile applications.

Experience leading and implementing user testing programs, including analysis and reporting across:

• Visual/Graphic Design
• Interaction Design
• Functional Design
• Experience Design
• Content Design
• Ability to work within established designs while developing new designs when required, implementing structures for platform design, modeling, architecture, and governance.
• Knowledge and skills in:
• Website accessibility
• UI/UX and design principles
• Content design
• User research
• Proven leadership experience in implementing and maintaining Design Governance and Design Principles at a strategic level in a large public or private sector organization.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
