Senior Front End Developer – 2 Yr Fixed Term

About the Company

My client is a hugely successful media company with multiple brands across digital, print and radio.

They have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Front End Developer to work in their development team building new products & high-performance web and mobile applications for one of their key brands.

About the Position

The role will involve working as part of the Angular development team building new products & high-performance web and mobile applications on the platform utilizing a number of technologies. The role involves elements from the full lifecycle of web development; designing screens, wireframing and prototyping all the way through to developing and deploying new features and enhancing existing features.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the Front End Development team in the enhancement of the website, IOS and Android apps to incorporate new feature sets and products.

Experience/Requirements

Required:

• 6+ years in a front-end development role

• Experience using the latest versions of Angular

• Experience building cross-platform Progressive Web Apps

• Knowledge & demonstrable experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript

• Knowledge in common web application, workflows, and tools like Node & Webpack

• Experience with front-end JavaScript architecture

• Experience using testing frameworks such as Cypress/Jest/Mocha/Jasmine

• App development experience using Ionic/Capacitor highly desired

Nice to Have:

• Design experience using photoshop, illustrator beneficial

• Experience with performance tuning of applications

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Experience with large scale, high traffic volume websites

• Experience with build and deployment management for large JS applications.

• Some experience with short release cycles, constant deployment, and updates
