Kotlin Android Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Kotlin Android Developer with experience in native Android development, API integration, and React Native design patterns to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality mobile applications with a focus on Jetpack Compose UI and API design. You will collaborate with our platform team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of features and work closely with backend developers to design and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Kotlin-based Android development, with strong experience in Jetpack Compose for UI development.
Strong understanding of React Native design patterns and how they translate to native Android development.
Experience with integration of RESTful APIs and GraphQL for mobile applications.
Proficiency in working with databases, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Experience with automated testing frameworks like Espresso Testing and Compose UI Testing.
Knowledge of deployment pipelines (CI/CD), with the ability to collaborate with platform teams to ensure smooth mobile app deployment.
Familiarity with networking protocols and working with WebSockets.
Good understanding of API design principles and best practices.
Experience working in agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

GraphQL knowledge, especially around query optimization and API consumption in mobile apps.
Exposure to iOS development or experience with cross-platform development practices (React Native, Flutter, etc.).
Familiarity with mobile app security practices, including secure data handling and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT).
Experience in performance tuning for mobile apps (e.g., memory management, API call optimization).
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize code for performance.
