Front End Web Developer

Opportunity:

Seeking a Front-End Web UI Engineer to develop an interactive interface for visualizing and filtering cryo-ET dataset metadata. This role requires strong front-end expertise and some backend knowledge for seamless data communication. The contract is for three months, with potential extension.

Pay Rate: $55-$60/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a Web UI for displaying raw and processed dataset metadata.
• Implement interactive filtering features using Aretomo3 metadata.
• Collaborate with backend developers for smooth data integration.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Document code for maintainability and future enhancements.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Next.js (preferred), React.js, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, ECharts, or Plotly.js).
• Knowledge of RESTful API integration and backend services.
• Experience with Python/Django (a plus).
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
• Background in scientific or metadata-heavy applications (a plus).
• Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.
  
  

Work Environment:

Onsite in Redwood City, CA, in a collaborative office setting, with occasional interaction with team members in labs, shipping, and reception areas.
