Network Engineer

About the Role - We are looking for a Level 2 Networking Engineer to join its innovative operations team and support senior network engineers, preferably in Sydney. The Level 2 Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting the management of both our and our clients’ networks. The position will support the design, build, and operations of these networks, which extend across geographies, platforms, and applications. Our customers span multiple geographies and industries, and this role will have the opportunity to work across this exciting range of businesses and places.

Responsibilities -

• Provide Level 2 technical network support via phone, ticket system, and onsite.
• Resolve incidents, requests, and changes
• Deliver and assist with reporting requirements
• Co-ordinate and deliver key risk remediation programs
• Support client connectivity migrations
• Field services for switches and routers

Qualifications - Have at least 2 years of networking engineering experience. Have proven experience with a multi-site / multi-tenant organisation, working across different client businesses. Must have experience with Cisco infrastructure and Palo Alto Firewall infrastructure. Have excellent communication skills with a clarity of approach and experience in communicating with customers.

Required Skills -

• Deep knowledge and experience with routing and switching
• Good understanding of network management tools
• Strong understanding of packet level troubleshooting (Wireshark)
• Familiar with ticketing systems
• CCNP certification (current or expired)
• Palo alto firewalls
• Working understanding of MPLS BGP across multiple data centres
• Strong understanding of data center switching across multiple Data centers

Preferred Skills - Experience with Cisco Call manager and Voip services.
