DevOps Engineer

About the role - Akkodis is seeking a highly motivated L2 DevOps Engineer to join our Global Information Security team. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to identify potential issues in both development and production environments. This role involves daily production service delivery, application deployment, infrastructure planning, engineering, and environment management for commercial and custom software applications.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in Generative AI application design and implementation, particularly in a DevOps capacity or technology integration role. The role requires hands-on experience in production support, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-level infrastructure

Scope - To leverage Gen AI technology to deliver assistive support to security penetration testers, providing them with a facility to query a knowledge base of vulnerability testing data and optimize their existing workflow. This will make penetration testing more efficient and thorough, enhancing cybersecurity protections against potential attacks

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyse information to evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Research, plan, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade operating systems, applications, hardware, and software interfaces.
• Apply an understanding of network fundamentals and security best practices.
• Diagnose infrastructure issues at both low and high levels.
• Support production operations, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for deployment and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimisation.

Required Experience:

• Understanding of Generative AI technology and large language models.
• Database technologies for Generative AI applications.
• OpenShift or Docker.
• Good understanding of Windows servers and web-based applications (IIS).
• Strong scripting skills for automation (Visual Basic, Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with patching servers and hosted applications.
• Understanding of network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, SMTP, SNMP, DNS).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD
• Knowledge of encryption technologies (HSM, OpenSSL).
• Familiarity with centralised logging tools such as Splunk.
