Junior Network Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join our client. This is a great opportunity to work with Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies, gaining real-world experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and basic implementation. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with configuring and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Perform basic network implementations under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, security, and performance issues.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewall rules, and VPN configurations.
• Conduct basic network health checks and monitoring.
• Work on Fortinet firewall configurations and security rule enforcement.
• Assist in network hardening and security best practices.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
• Be available for occasional weekend work for maintenance or upgrades.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in networking or IT support.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking (CCNA preferred) – VLANs, routing, switching.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls (NSE4 is a plus).
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall rules.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, with flexibility for weekend work when needed.
• A proactive and team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
