IBM MIDDLEWARE LEAD

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Middleware Lead with extensive experience in IBM API Connect (APIC),App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and IBM Data Power. The ideal

candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of middleware solutions, ensuring best practices, security, and high performance. The role requires strong technical expertise, customer interaction, and the ability to drive middleware strategy and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design,development, and implementation of IBM API Connect (APIC), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and IBM Data Power solutions.
• Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide best practices, and architect solutions.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of API and integration solutions.
• Define and enforce governance models for API and integration platform management.
• Optimize middleware performance through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, infrastructure teams, and security architects.
• Drive automation in API lifecycle management, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Act as an SME to recommend middleware architecture improvements and enhancements.

Primary Skills:

• 12+ years of experience in middleware technologies with a strong focus on IBM APIC, ACE, and Data Power.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and securing APIs and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, OAuth, JWT, and TLS.
• Hands-on experience with API lifecycle management, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and message-based integrations.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Stronganalyticalandtroubleshootingskillsforresolvingcomplexintegration issues.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to document best practices, guidelines, and solution architectures.
• Experience with cloud-based integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Secondary Skills :

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• IBM Certified Developer/Architect in APIC, ACE, or Data Power is preferred.
