Android Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Jetpack Compose UI for UI design, ensuring a modern and responsive user experience.
• Work on large-scale B2C applications, handling high traffic and ensuring smooth functionality across a wide user base.
• Monitor app performance and stability, using tools like Crashlytics or similar monitoring tools, and act on real-time issues to optimize the app.
• Integrate and work with REST APIs and GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization between front-end and back-end systems.
• Collaborate with backend teams to design APIs and ensure the app works efficiently with backend services.
• Implement Kotlin unit tests and Compose UI tests to ensure high code quality and test coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert-level Jetpack Compose UI: Proven expertise in building modern UIs using Jetpack Compose for Android apps.
• Experience in large-scale B2C applications: Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing large production applications used by a broad user base.
• Application Monitoring: Experience with app monitoring tools like Crashlytics or similar platforms for tracking and resolving app crashes and errors.
• API Integration: Strong experience in integrating REST APIs and GraphQL APIs into Android applications.
• Testing Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kotlin unit testing and Compose UI testing to ensure app stability and quality.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline management.
• RoomDB experience: Knowledge of integrating and working with RoomDB for local data persistence.
• Familiarity with WebSockets or Server-Sent Events for real-time communication within mobile apps.
• Espresso testing framework knowledge for UI testing would be an added bonus.
