Job Title: Senior Rust Developer

Job Description:

Our client, a leading financial technology company, is establishing a new Rust development team and is seeking experienced developers with strong proficiency in Rust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-performance systems within a fast-moving technology environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance systems using Rust.
• Collaborate closely with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technology decisions.
• Implement clean, efficient, and well-documented codebases in a regulated environment.
• Engage in code reviews and mentor junior team members when needed.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and propose integration into development processes.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial Rust development experience.
• 5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Background in trading platforms or blockchain/crypto technologies is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable software systems.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to low-latency trading systems or financial transaction processing.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering principles including CI/CD, containerisation, and microservices.
• Familiarity with cryptographic protocols and security-conscious development.
• Proficiency in other systems-level languages such as C++ or Go is a plus.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
