About the Role: Morgan McKinley is partnering with a national organization to find an experienced and dedicated Transport Project Specialist for a key assignment with our client. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of transport and infrastructure projects to drive impactful initiatives in public transport services.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work closely with the client to support the delivery of strategic projects, operational enhancements, and transportation initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate transport-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main liaison between the client and project stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed analyses on transport data to inform project decisions, prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, and recommend solutions for identified issues.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices within the transport sector.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve project management methodologies and operational processes to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Key Requirements: The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills. Essential requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally within the transport or public infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and industry standards within Ireland.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated capability in building and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with occasional on-site visits as required.
