About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an essential backend application that is crucial to primary business processes. You will work in a complex environment that requires precision, flexibility, and a strong affinity with system management. Your role will involve optimizing and innovating the application while collaborating closely with colleagues in an Agile environment.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java using Spring Boot 3.
• Implement and optimize SOAP (XML, XSD) and REST APIs.
• Work with tools like Maven and GIT within a microservices architecture.
• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Nexus.
• Utilize Groovy for specific automation tasks when needed.
• Manage and optimize databases using SQL Server.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Work on-site in Utrecht at least once a month, with additional visits as required.

Who You Are

• You have at least strong mid-level experience as a Java developer.
• You have in-depth knowledge and experience with Spring Boot 3.
• You are familiar with SOAP (XML, XSD), REST, Maven, GIT, and microservices architectures.
• You are detail-oriented and work with precision.
• You are flexible and have a strong affinity for system management.
• You are proactive and can work independently but also thrive in a team setting.
• Experience with Groovy, Jenkins, Nexus, and SQL Server is a plus.
