Full Stack Software Engineer I – Zurich, Switzerland

What We Are Looking For - Scope Of Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer I to join our team. This individual will work independently on the design and implementation of a mobile app responsible for the onboarding of various IoT devices to the cloud. The role requires coordination with firmware and cloud service teams across multile features, ensuring effective story breakdown and continuous balancing of technical debt with business impact.

This is a hybrid position which requires working in the office at least one day per week.

What Will You Do - Responsibilities

Technical Implementation & Development

• Drive technical implementations for seamless realization of business needs.
• Own and improve team-wide engineering practices including code reviews and testing standards,especially in the field of cross-platform, mobile app development.
• Work closely with Architects and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical training sessions.
  
  

Project Scope & Complexity

• Lead implementation of epics containing multiple features, ensuring effective story breakdown.
• Contribute to epic refinement to ensure clear feature story definition.
• Responsible for system performance, security, extensibility and reliability of major components.
  
  

Communication & Impact

• Present technical strategies to teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on technical decisions.
  
  

Leadership & Growth

• Drive team-wide improvements and mentor junior engineers.
• Guide team members in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality.
  
  

Education

Who You Are – Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, with strong industry experience.
  
  

Years And Type Of Experience

• 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in cross-platform mobile app development using Flutter, React Native or a comparable
• framework.
• Experience in component performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving improvements.
• Experience with infrastructure and DevOps practices and CI pipelines is advantageous.
• Experience supporting architectural decisions is advantageous.
• Experience with Dart and/or Golang is a plus.
• Experience with gRPC, Bluetooth LE and networking is plus.
• Experience in medical technology domain is a plus.
• Experience with cybersecurity requirements is a plus.
  
  

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities

• Advanced coding and system design skills.
• Mentorship and technical leadership abilities.
• Proficient in CI/CD practices and DevOps collaboration.
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German language skills are advantageous.
