Our leading tech client is looking for a UI Product Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a remote role, however, the successful candidate must be in Ontario.
Salary: $70-85k
The Product Designer will create user-centered solutions that define and enhance digital product experiences. In this role, you’ll design intuitive interfaces, optimize interactions, and deliver functional prototypes that align with both user needs and business goals. Whether working on new concepts (0-1) or refining existing designs, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless and impactful user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design concepts to explore, communicate, and validate ideas quickly.
- Create high-quality interactive prototypes focusing on detailed user interactions.
- Apply user-centered design principles to enhance the experience for new and existing products.
- Use design thinking methodologies to gather and evaluate project requirements with stakeholders.
- Develop design artifacts to communicate user flows, touchpoints, behaviors, and data interactions.
- Work closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy.
- Deliver solutions that support user needs while aligning with business objectives.
- Produce comprehensive documentation for seamless design handoff.
- Maintain consistency by adhering to design patterns, principles, and best practices.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in Figma for creating interactive prototypes (experience with additional tools is a plus).
- Strong understanding of design principles, UX/UI best practices, and usability heuristics.
- Experience creating developer-ready assets and scalable UI components.
- Knowledge of user research methods, usability testing, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- Ability to translate research insights into intuitive design solutions.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for clear documentation.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists.
- Bonus: Experience in motion design or micro-interactions.
