Network Administrator

We are recruiting a freelance Network Administrator role for an International Client based in Gdansk, Poland:

Duration: 6-12 months + chance of extensions

Location: Gdansk (Hybrid Working Possible)

Language: French Speaking Ideal

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator with at least 2 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking technologies, specifically Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Aruba solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, escalating as needed.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Manage and monitor firewall policies, VPNs, and network security measures (preferably with Palo Alto or similar).
• Configure and support wireless networks (preferably Aruba solutions).
• Maintain documentation related to network configurations, processes, and service records.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for network optimization and upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or Aruba network solutions.
• Understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs).
• Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and security appliances.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNA, PCNSA, ACMA or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience with network automation and scripting is advantageous.
