Senior DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure)

pawaTech is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Infrastructure team. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for providing infrastructure resources and organizing access to them for other teams and users.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing Infrastructure resources and services (Bare-metal, AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, Teleport);
• Provisioning of infrastructure services (Terraform, Ansible);
• Organizing infrastructure resources with the required level of redundancy to avoid disruption of deployed services in case of technical or hardware failures;
• Ensuring an easy way to scale computational, storage, and network resources as well as continuously monitoring their performance and addressing growing requirements on time;
• Arranging infrastructure resources in a secure and compliant manner, eliminating unauthorized access and protecting sensitive data;
• Participating and proactively collaborating on the incident management process, minimizing the impact for users in cases of technical and operational failures;
• Continuously tracking and optimizing costs related to provided services and resources;
• Communicating with a product owner or other teams in the context of service requirements, future development, and dependencies.

• Experience in working with Linux, virtual and physical servers, and network configuration;
• Experience in working with cloud providers and designing reliable infrastructure for production environments;
• Understanding of principles for working with production systems, keeping availability and reliability in mind at all stages of work;
• Expertise to execute tasks effectively, aligning with business goals, processes, and minimizing disruptions;
• Capability to foster teamwork through clear communication, coordination, and constructive feedback.

Extra expertise we appreciate:

• Experience in design and implementation of production-grade network architecture as well as configuration of network equipment and services;
• Experience of working with different hardware components of scalable web application infrastructure;
• Knowledge and expertise of using different cloud providers and connecting them with on-premise infrastructure securely and reliably;
• Understanding the purpose and requirements of different operation processes, such as change management, incident management, and vulnerability management.
