Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and maintain a highly scalable and reliable software development environment for one of the world’s most advanced high-tech and semiconductor companies. This role is crucial in enhancing system reliability, automating operational tasks, and optimizing performance within a complex and cutting-edge industry.

As part of the Software Innovation team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless software development processes, from code storage and validation to automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines. You’ll work with modern technologies like GitHub Actions, Bazel, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP & Azure) to build a world-class software infrastructure.

Their software environment supports thousands of engineers working on cutting-edge technologies, requiring state-of-the-art DevOps and automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• System Reliability & Uptime – Define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to ensure high availability.
• Incident Management – Respond to outages, lead post-mortem investigations, and automate recovery.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Build and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
• Monitoring & Observability – Implement logging, alerts, and dashboards (e.g., Splunk) for system health tracking.
• Automation & Tooling – Automate deployments, scaling, backups, and failovers.
• Collaboration – Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure scalability and reliability.

Requirements:

• Programming & Scripting: Python, Bash, Ruby.
• Cloud Platforms: GCP, Azure.
• Linux/Unix & Windows: Performance tuning, debugging, system administration.
• Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.
• Monitoring & Logging: Observability stacks, Splunk.
• Security & Compliance: Access control, secrets management, audit logging.
• Soft Skills: Strong collaboration, incident management, coaching junior engineers.
