Network Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate in Network Operations to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and supporting Aruba Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Cisco Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV), and Cisco Nexus switches. The Senior Associate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of our network infrastructure, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and troubleshoot complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management & Monitoring:
• Oversee and manage the operation of Aruba Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), ensuring optimal wireless network performance, reliability, and security.
• Cisco UCS & Nexus Support:
• Provide expertise in Cisco UCS and Nexus technologies for the management of data center networks, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UCS servers and Nexus switches.
• Cisco OTV Configuration:
• Manage and support Cisco OTV configurations to ensure seamless and efficient extension of VLANs across geographically distributed data centers.
• Network Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and resolve network issues across various technologies, including Aruba WLCs, Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus, and OTV, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Capacity Planning & Optimization:
• Assist in capacity planning to ensure network resources meet growing business demands. Perform regular network assessments to identify potential performance improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide regular status updates and incident reports to management.
• Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security professionals, and network engineers, to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Security & Compliance:
• Ensure that network infrastructure adheres to security best practices and organizational compliance standards. Monitor network security and take proactive steps to mitigate potential risks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network operations, with hands-on experience in managing Aruba WLCs, Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus, and Cisco OTV.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide effective solutions.
• Experience with Cisco data center technologies, including Nexus switching, UCS, and OTV.
• Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams across various departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
• Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or similar certifications.
• Experience with network automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions.
