DevOps Engineer

For one of the clients of Tergos in North Holland, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a senior platform team. This role is ideal for someone with broad industry experience who enjoys building scalable infrastructure and software solutions in AWS, CDK, Java, and Docker. Location: North Holland (Hybrid - Min. 2 days on-site)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12 months, with option for extension
Hours/week: 32 to 40 hours per week

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, automating, and optimizing the platform's cloud infrastructure and software development processes. You will work in a DevOps, Cloud, and Software Engineering environment where you can contribute to both infrastructure and application development.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Work with Docker, Linux, and the ELK Stack to improve monitoring and performance.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Develop APIs and backend systems using Java (Spring Boot).
• Implement event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, AWS EventBridge).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, designers).
• Ensure the platform meets international security, compliance, and performance standards.
  
  

• Strong expertise in AWS, CDK, Docker, Linux, ELK Stack, Java, Spring Boot.
• Experience with DevOps, cloud automation, and software engineering.
• Passion for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
• A pragmatic, hands-on mindset-you prioritize working solutions over perfection.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a senior team.
• Positive energy and a proactive approach-you enjoy tackling challenges.
• Broad industry experience across different companies and sectors.
• A degree in Software Engineering or IT is a big plus.
