Software Engineer (Python & C/C++)

Work for a global provider of networking monitoring and asset management solutions for the IT enterprise market space! Due to an internal promotion, our client is looking to add another Software Engineer. You'll join a team of 9 (mix of Software Engineers and QA's), working in the office 3 days per week.

- You will initially be in the office 5 days per week for the first 4-6 weeks whilst you get up to speed. After that, the position will transition into a hybrid working style (3 days per week in the office).

You will report into the Head of Engineering and have plenty of room for career progression. The businesses products are active in over 22 countries and in many Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new software modules that integrate into existing systems.
• Work independently as part of an agile software development team.
• Discuss requirements and solution details with internal stakeholders.
• Work with other team members to maintain and enhance existing software.
• Responsible for contributing to code review and testing.
• Evaluate existing software with a focus on quality and performance.

Requirements:

• 2+ years python experience
• 2+ years C/C++ experience
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems with administration skills.
• 2+ years experience with source control tools (GIT)
• Familiarity with Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with monitoring system and SNMP advantageous
