Penetration Tester (relocation to Belgium)

We are looking for a Penetration Testing Specialist who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.

Eligibility:

• Candidate must currently reside in the EU.
• Portuguese Citizenship is mandatory.
• Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU Clearance after accepting the job offer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or participate in Red/Blue Team operations during NATO military exercises.
• Perform comprehensive penetration testing on web applications, IT infrastructure, and software applications in accordance with recognized methodologies.
• Conduct security design reviews to ensure adherence to NATO policies and directives.
• Provide expert security consulting and advice to various projects, plans, and organizational entities.
• Build and maintain effective communication with critical stakeholders, including NATO’s Configuration Control Board, Security Accreditation Boards, NATO Security Accreditation Authorities, and NCI Agency organization units supporting accreditation processes.
• Deliver impactful briefings and security reports to both executive and technical audiences, including flag officer-level personnel.
• Collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders under the guidance of the Penetration Testing Cell Head.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Penetration Testing Expertise: More than 3 years of experience in conducting web application, IT infrastructure, and network penetration tests using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Architectural Knowledge: Strong expertise in network security architecture design and thorough assessments of security vulnerabilities across operating systems, software, protocols, and networks.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Knowledge of system and network administration for both UNIX and Windows platforms.
• Use of recognized penetration testing tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting with at least one language (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting).
• Deep technical understanding of system and network security, authentication protocols, cryptographic techniques, malware infection methods, and protective technologies.
• Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Ability to assess risks, formulate effective mitigation plans, and propose remediation strategies.
• Technical Reporting: Proven experience in writing structured reports, including executive summaries, technical findings, and actionable remediation plans for diverse audiences.
