Data Manager - Risk

My Dublin based client are hiring a Data Manager with a strong background in managing data for Finance and Risk functions, including experience in data governance, processing, storage, quality management and remediation for financial, risk and regulatory change projects, understanding of data compliance requirements, hands on knowledge of relevant systems and tools, and awareness of current industry trends and best practices. The ideal candidate will have consulting experience working for Financial Services clients in Ireland or UK, functional understanding of data sets used in the relevant domains, as well as technical skills such as data modelling and warehousing, database technologies, ETL processing and tools, and proficiency in SQL.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in BCBS 239, data governance and ideally RDARR.

• Ideally a large banking group experience, i.e. participation in RDARR/BCBS 239 or data governance projects in the banking group or knowledge of the design of banking group’s processes in range of data governance topics.

• Depending on the role, know-how with regard to the design of first and second line activities.

• Strong practical experience in modelling data, especially in functional and logical models.

• Strong practical experience in measuring data quality and aggregating data quality results, especially for reporting to senior management.

• Strong practical experience in the application of regulatory requirements as well as in the relevant review of processes for appropriateness and effectiveness.

• Scum Master with several years’ experience in supporting teams in the role of Scrum Master, ideally in setting up new teams.

• Project management should have many years of experience as a project manager and ideally experience in the field of BCBS 239 / Data Governance.
