As a Senior Angular Developer at Lucanet, you will play a pivotal role in modernising our tax and reporting applications, shifting from a legacy Java-based frontend to a scalable microfrontend architecture using Angular. Our core tax product has been built on a monolithic system for over 20 years, and as we transition to SaaS, we need to modularise key areas such as Pillar 2, compliance, and country-by-country reporting. While one team has already begun this transformation, the majority of the work is still ahead—this role is crucial in driving that change.

Beyond development, you will be the leading Angular expert, responsible for defining best practices, optimising architecture, and mentoring teams. You’ll work hands-on with microfrontends while also guiding frontend developers, collaborating closely with fullstack engineers, and tax specialists. Our applications deal with complex financial data, requiring intuitive user interfaces, dynamic forms, and robust validation processes—all areas where your expertise will have a major impact.

In a fluid, cross-functional environment, you will standardise frontend development across teams, ensuring consistency and scalability. While most of our new infrastructure is AWS-based, we still support Azure and on-premise customers, adding technical complexity. This is a rare opportunity to rebuild a critical enterprise product from the ground up, shaping its future while influencing the broader technology strategy at Lucanet.

The Role

Core Responsibilities

• Drive the transition from a monolithic Java-based frontend to a modular microfrontend architecture using Angular. Ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions as we modernise key tax and reporting applications.
• Define best practices, establish coding standards, and implement architectural patterns that enhance efficiency, maintainability, and long-term scalability across multiple teams.
• Act as the primary Angular expert, providing technical leadership, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers
• Collaborate with fullstack engineers, and tax specialists to create intuitive, high-performance interfaces for complex financial workflows.
• Implement robust testing strategies, optimise frontend performance, and drive best practices in CI/CD
