System Engineer (Windows Server Monitoring)

Responsible for the service of Windows Monitoring Services:

• Define and implement monitoring requirements in collaboration with service responsible teams
• Support operational processes
• Support with audits and certifications
• Market observation and, if necessary, evaluation of new products or product versions
• Supporting operations with problem solutions and changes
• Consultancy for specialist departments worldwide
• Collaboration in projects
• Collaboration in DerDack Enterprise Alert operation

Required knowledge competencies and attributes:

• Degree in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering
• Very good English skills and German is optional
• Experience in working with environment monitoring systems, including configuration, management, and maintenance of Windows Server.
• Familiarity with monitoring and environment management tools such as Opentext Operations Bridge Manager, Microsoft System Center, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.
• Ability to analyze monitoring data and report results to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to react quickly to changes in the environment and make decisions in crisis situations.
• Industry certifications related to environment monitoring (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, ITIL) would be an additional advantage.
